Bridges to Belonging presents “Picture This: An Evening about Sex and Disability with Andrew Gurza”

Andrew Gurza is a Disability Awareness Consultant. He brings with him a unique combination of lived experience as a disabled man with Cerebral Palsy, as well as a professional expertise from building a brand aimed at bringing those experiences to the public conscience. He received his MA of Legal Studies from Carleton University looking at the law and disability. His written work has been featured in Huffington Post, The Advocate, and Everyday Feminism, among others. He has been invited to speak on topics such as traveling while disabled, being disabled in the healthcare system, disability in the arts and disability employment.

This is a free event with 80 spaces available. Topics that may be covered include myths about sexuality and disability, loneliness, body image and disability, sexuality and access, disability and queerness, and other issues that may come up. There will be a question-and-answer period. If you have questions that you would like to ask, or will require accommodations, you can e-mail communityrelations@bridgestobelonging.ca by October 20, 2018. Please indicate whether you wish your question to be anonymous. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions at the event.
